Postby OneManDo » Thu Jul 22, 2004 3:54 pm

I have install the DXsock ver 3 (http://www.dxsock.com/products/dxsock/) without any problem into my C++ Builder 6 pro.

I have created ane application with the DXFTPServerCore and have this Error: [C++ Error] winsock.h(955): E2015 Ambiguity between 'DWORD' and 'Dxstring::DWORD'

I have write a mail to the company more then one time... but nada
the source code is PASCAL and i am code in C++ so i will need some help here...

thanks.

You seem to have a naming conflict due to the DXSock types being included in the global namespace. Have you tried wrapping the dxsock stuff into a new namespace, e.g.,...

namespace dxsock
{
// #include the appropriate DXSock header(s)
}

Alternatively, you might try the following hack...

// #include the appropriate DXSock header(s), then...

#include <winsock.h>

Good luck,
