Controlling Standard Exception Dialog Box

Postby rfq » Wed Jul 28, 2004 10:28 am

Hi,

I have a small application that handles some simple exceptions with the following:

if (blah blah)
{
throw Exception("My dialog box message..");
}

The exceptions get thrown as they should, but the exception dialog box that pops up prefaces my message string with "Exception occurred:" and then my message. How can I get rid of this?

Should I be popping up my own dialog box and re-throwing it or something like that?

Also, is it possible to control how many lines my message appears on (maybe inserting a newline character??) in the dialog.

The last application I wrote a while back used the very same call and the exception dialog box does not preface my message with anything! Am I missing something here?

Thanks,
