How do you create a single exe that will run on machines without the above!

Cheers.

go to the c++ linker option and uncheck link with dynamic rtl

uncheck link with delphi runtime library

go down to packages options > uncheck link with runtime packages

recompile it should work on any pc

Yeah, thats how I have it setup in RAD 2010 always worked.

I have eventually compiled with those settings, looks like it compiles ok but on other machines I am getting

an Access Violation in "KERNELBASE.dll" does anyone know what this is about?

On Windows 7 Professional and Windows 10 laptops.

Cheers

I have found one of the culprits, will try and work out why it runs on dev machine ok and not on others.

The problem, after all was not the component but a required lib (psapi.dll) file not being included in the project, Rad 2010, did not allow a project to compile without it.

Berlin happily allowed it to compile without raising an alert.
